Spanish Grammar 110 Possessive Pronouns

Possessive pronouns are similar to possessive adjectives but they have a different grammatical function – they replace a noun and thus take on the gender and number of that noun, so becoming singular or plural, masculine or feminine.

They are normally used with the definite article but not always.
